Description:
Allow me to introduce you to “PETE”. Pete is a grade quarter horse gelding, standing just over fourteen hands tall, he has extensive experience working in stockyards and being around cattle on a daily basis. Pete is an excellent choice for a family or youth horse, perfect for trail riding, 4-H competitions, cattle sorting, and roping—an active dummy or live cattle—for youth of any age.

He has taken his skills to new heights, providing a reliable and safe riding experience both indoors and outdoors. Pete’s presence has instilled confidence and a winning spirit, helping one become a better rider while offering unwavering support through any obstacle. We believe it’s time for another rider to have the opportunity of a lifetime to become a skilled equestrian with a horse that prioritizes safety at all times.

As an easy keeper, Pete is a horse that loves attention and is always eager to greet you at the gate. He has been exposed to various farm equipment, dirt bikes, ATVs, and other animals, demonstrating his adaptability and calm demeanor. Pete is the perfect horse for one, displaying exemplary behavior during loading/unloading on the trailer, bathing, grooming, and having his hooves picked. He stands patiently for the farrier as well.

Pete is so well-trained that he can be ridden bareback and even without a bridle. He responds to leg pressure, understands leads, and has all the necessary buttons. Whether he is stabled for an extended period or ridden daily, Pete remains the same reliable horse day in and day out. He does not rear or buck and possesses exceptional ground manners, earning him the nickname “slow steady Eddy.” Pete is up to date on coggins, dewormer, and all vaccines, receiving regular care from Veterinarian Services twice a year due to his navicular condition. He currently wears shoes all around due to his show appearances.

Pete is truly a remarkable horse, ready to bring joy, safety, and endless opportunities to his next fortunate rider.
