This girl has seen it all. She'll rope, sort/pen, trail ride, western and English equitation, showmanship, open gates, stand for farriers, baths, and tacking, walks through water and mud, and pretty much everything else a horse can do. Easy to trailer. No kick, buck, rear or pull back. Very responsive to leg, body, and hand. Great cow working breeding.
I used her as my 4H gaming horse and later bought her as my barrel/gymkhana horse, and she did wonderfully and loved it. She never got gate sour or herd bound and has always been very calm walking in and out of arenas. She is currently being leased out to a 10 year old beginner, but CONFIDENT rider. Barbie can be difficult to ride as she has a lot of speed and feels very bumpy, but may serve as a good teacher to confident riders. I hate to sell her but I will be heading to college and won't have the time to care for her properly.
She would do well with a confident beginner to intermediate rider. While she did well in barrels, a learning barrel racer would not be recommended simply for this horse's speed. Selling for $8, or for lease at $/month. May be willing to negotiate price for right family.
