Piper is an 11 yr old 14.2 hand tall Tri-Colored Fox Trotter Mare. Just an absolute living Doll, and as cute as they come!! Piper is as sweet and loving as you can find, and uses her charm to win you over instantly! She would make someone a perfect "only" horse, as she could care less about having a buddy or being around the other horses in the pasture. To be honest, you will forget that Piper is even around, as she is always off somewhere by herself, and never bothers a single thing. Call her, and she comes right up to you, and is always ready to go out for a ride. Piper neck reins with just a touch, backs, works off leg cues and will stop on a dime. She is a really neat little girl, and can read her rider like no other horse I have ridden. When a younger person gets on Piper, she has tons of get-up and go, and loves to gait all over the place. But when and old lady like me gets on her, she is content to walk along, and go into a gorgeously smooth gait whenever I am ready. You can trail ride Piper all day long alone, or she could care less how many horses are riding along with her. She will never hesitate at any crossing or obstacle, and if her little legs can get over it, she will cross it for you. If you ride her around the barn, and the other horses are running and carrying on, she never even pays them a bit of attention...she keeps her mind on you and her ride. Piper is never one that is ready to head home, and will stay out riding all day long, if you so choose, and she loves it! You can just see Pipers eyes light up when she knows she gets to go out for a ride, and she truly has fun. Piper was owned by a 14 yr old girl that had Piper for 4 years, and decided to start barrel racing, so we found her a nice QH to ride. The girl did tons of trail riding with her parents, took Piper to fun shows and saddle club events, and rode her and carried the flag in Parades with her girlfriends. Can't find a single ounce of spook in this little girl, and she has all the confidence in the world in herself, whether alone or with other horses. I would not call Piper a beginner horse, as she likes to get up and boogie in her gaits, and boy does she have a sweet little ride about her! She would be for an intermediate rider, or an advanced older child. I have let Piper stand in the pasture for a month, and pulled her out and just rode off...no different than if you rode her yesterday, never any buck at all. Easy to catch, stand tied, loads and hauls nicely and rides amazingly. I had an out of state sale pending on her for quite a while, but they could not find anyone to install their fencing, so Piper is being put back on the market for sale. Piper is just too cute for words, and is as naturally gaited as can be, with lots of different speeds in her gaits. Just a little doll, that needs someone to take her home and give her the love and attention that she so dearly deserves!! To view video: http://youtu.be/sEPhP6PLfHw Call 314-608-1800
